Today I decided to take the day off to relax after my long run and get some school work done. Although Ill be running in the snowy weather soon enough, it was nice to not have to run in it today. The snow was very wet and all over the place. I'm glad that I missed this day of running and putting up with sidewalks and the sides of roads covered in snow and ice. I'm beginning to get excited for our race on Saturday and am hoping that the weather clears up by then so we don't have to run in snowy, wet grass. Even if we have to I know it will be a fun last race.
One of my good friends has a camping spot at Cooper's Lake. My friends and I make a point to get together and camp there at least one or two weekends during the spring/summer. I ran a cross country meet there once in high school. That first, big hill is a killer, but I'm sure you guys are experts at it. At least the castle is fun to run through!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you picked a good day to take off from running. The seasons seem to change really quickly over the last couple of years. I couldn't seem to get traction anywhere around campus. I hope the weather clears up a little for the big race on Saturday. Good luck at the race and try to stay warm!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures Brittany :) I have never seen this much snow before!! Best of luck with Regionals!!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures you took of campus. Good luck in the race! Hopefully the day off will help rest your muscles to bring in a win for SRU!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! That snow was such a surprise. I drove to SRU from Cranberry Twp., and it was raining at my house. I get off the exit and it was like driving into a snow globe. Needless to say I was not appropriately dressed for the weather. Good luck with the race on Saturday. Even if there's snow, I'm sure it'll be a good time! But fingers crossed for some nice weather.
ReplyDeleteOne day it was 73 degrees and the next days its a blizzard. I hate this SRU weather. It was so bad out I wouldnt even considering going outside to take those pictures. Hopefully the terrible weather holds off for your race. Who knows with this unpredictable weather it may be 70 degrees that day! Break a leg! (but dont let it be from the snow!)
