Today we had our last workout of the season. Because it was so cold and snowy outside, the girls decided to do the workout on the indoor track. The workout was a 3,200 meter tempo run with 5 200 meter striders at the end. Running on the indoor track today got me in the mind set to begin indoor track in just a few short weeks. I'm still hoping that it clears up for Saturday and is a bit warmer for us to run our last race of the year.
Four days until the Division II Atlantic Regional Race at Cooper's Lake Campground!!!!!!

I think that was a good idea to practice inside during this cold weather. Slippery Rock has great indoor facitilies for times like this. I'm sure it will still be cold for your race on Saturday. I'm not really looking forward to running a 5K on Thanksgiving morning because there will probably be snow on the ground. Good luck at the division II Atlantic Regional Race at Cooper's Lake Campground.
ReplyDeleteP.S. nice selfie
Good luck on your upcoming race! I wish I was as motivated as you are indoor and outdoor, for how cold it is I would practice at the indoor track also. I know you guys will do great! Hopefully the weather holds up for your last outdoor race! Win 1st place!
ReplyDeleteHonestly... I feel like a true Cross Country runner would have run outside, despite the elements. But hey maybe you know what you're doing and you'll kick some ass this weekend. It's definitely not going to clear up this weekend though so stop hoping for that and take on a more realistic mindset for Saturday. That was probably like a 3.5 hr workout for you though right? Pretty solid.
